1 March–30April: Nationwide
Put on your most comfy shoes ‘cause
the annual 1Malaysia GP Sale is back
again, with more bargains, discounts and
promotions. Held in conjunction with the
annual Formula 1 PETRONAS Malaysia
Grand Prix, this sale will be held in
shopping malls and departmental stores
across the Klang Valley. Tourist coming to
enjoy the F1 race can arrive a little early
or stay on after the race for the added
shopping treat. The shopping fever is
also expected to spread to regions beyond
Klang Valley like the island of Penang,
which will be joining in with its own
version of the MGP sale and activities.

Punk Princess Avril Lavignewill be coming
back to Malaysia for the third time to rock
out with fans for her ‘The Avril Lavigne
Tour 2014’. The singer will be promoting
her latest self-titled album, which features
hit singles
Let Me Go
and
Here’s To Never
Growing Up
. Fans can expect a rocking
night out whilst singing along to the new
singles and old favourite tunes by the
Canadian singer.
FUTURE MUSIC FESTIVAL ASIA
13–15March: Bukit Jalil National Stadium
Fans of Trance and EDM will be in for a
treat at themuch anticipated FutureMusic
Festival Asia that’s back again this year and
is slated to be the largest music gathering
Southeast Asia has ever seen. Featuring its
biggest lineup to date, this year’s festival
features popular international acts such
as Pharrell Williams, Deadmau5, Armin
Van Burren, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis,
Tinie Tempah and more, plus local acts
like Bate, Raising the Bar and Deer Society.
Set to take place at the Bukit Jalil National
Stadium, Malaysia is the only country
to host Future Music Festival outside of
Australia.

INTERNATIONAL SAND
CHALLENGE
8 – 9 March: Port Dickson, Negeri
Sembilan
For a competition like no other, check
out this 4x4 sand challenge that was
launched under the patronage of Duli
Yang Maha Mulia Yang di-Pertuan
Besar Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus.
This 8-hour endurance course with
20 special stages is the first-of-its-
kind in the ASEAN region and has
opened its door to participants from
Thailand, Myanmar and Singapore.
The skills and knowledge of drivers
and navigators are tested to the
brim on four-wheel drive techniques
ranging from winching, obstacles
and handling.
