I was still hungry, even after having a
packet of complimentary snacks, so I went
back down to the lobby to try the food at
Table by RangMahal. Authentic tradi-
tional Indian cuisine fromvarious regions
of India is presentedwith a contemporary
touch. They push it up a notch by
bringing the globe to your table, featuring
international cuisines fromAsian delights
like samosas toWestern signature dishes
like pasta and pizzas.
Therewas a good lunch-time crowd
whowere enjoying the set lunch that is
on offer and the smells in the restaurant
were heavenly. The foodwas delicious and
the service top notch. If you do not fancy
eating there, there is awhole stretch of
eateries along the same row that the hotel
is at, serving everything fromchicken rice
to burgers.
Cloud 9 is where youwould go to get
a drink, enjoy the infinity pool and the
breathtaking views of Singapore. One of
the best things about this bar is that it is
only open to hotel guests, whichmeans
that the atmosphere is verymellow.

There aremany factors that turn a hotel
stay frommediocre to outstanding. The
building, design and amenities all play a
part obviously. Then there is themost im-
portant factor. The people. Everymember
of theNaumi team is trained in the “Naumi-centric” philosophy.
Simply put, everymember of the team is trained to anticipate and
remember the needs of the guests. The thing is, this intimacy shows.
It shows in theway that the staff interact with each other andwith the
guests. There is always professionalismbut not the barrier that you
may get at a bigger hotel. I chatted to everyone I came across, from
the dutymanager to the housekeeper, and they all had one thing in
common. They all seemed genuinely pleased that I was staying there.
