What are your responsibilities a Quality Assurance Executive,
FlightOperations?
Quality Assurance Executive, Flight Operations is responsible
for matters related to Quality Assurance Flight Operations
Department in terms of the renewal of Flyfirefly Sdn Bhd AOC
(Airport Operators Certificate) and tomonitor that the conditions
and restrictions of the AOC are complied with. My department
also assists in the facilitation of Quality & Regulatory Audits
conducted on Flyfirefly Sdn Bhd Flight Operations Department.
Canyou tell us a littlemore about your background?
I was born in Tawau, Sabah but was brought up in Port Dickson,
Negeri Sembilan. After completing my SPM, I furthered my
studies at KLM (Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan University College).
I started off at Firefly in January 2011 as a Crewing Officer for
B 737 Operations. I was then appointed as a Quality Assurance
Officer for Flight Operations Quality Assurance Department,
which led to my current position .
What sort of skills andknowledge is needed for your position?
An Auditor must have, or develop, the personality and ability to
get along well with all personnel they have occasion to commu-
nicate with in the course of carrying out their duties. The ability
to communicate with people in a manner that will be exactly
understood is another good asset to have. The Auditor’s approach
towards work must be governed by a healthy temperament and,
in particular, they should be familiar with all pertinent Aviation
Regulations and procedures.
