organise our lives and help make everything easier to keep track of. Here are five apps
available on bothApple andAndroid that can help us get through the day.

SPG Keyless
is a
ground-breaking
turning point in
the traditional

the age-old way
guests arrive and check-in to their rooms.
The app enables guests to bypass the
front desk (where available), go directly
to their room and unlock their roomwith
a simple tap of their smartphone. Recently
rolled out at Aloft Kuala Lumpur, SPG
Members must register their phone once
through the SPG App and allow push
notifications. After booking a reservation
at a keyless hotel and approximately 24
hours before arrival, SPG members are
invited to opt-in to SPG Keyless.
Guests will receive a push notification
informing that they are checked in and the
SPG App will update with his/her room
number and Bluetooth keywhen the room
is ready. After ensuring his/her Bluetooth
is enabled, the guest simply opens the SPG
App, holds the smartphone to the door
lock, waits for the solid green light and
enters the room. How convenient!

Have you ever been in a situation when
there is a song that really catches your
fancy playing at the club or shopping
mall but you have no idea of the title
or singer?
Shazam
is an app that is a
godsend for music lovers. It helps find out
the information needed about any song
that you have just discovered or have
heard before. All you have to do is let the
app listen to the song via the microphone
on your phone. It also provides a direct
link to the song for purchase so that you
can listen to it all over again. On top of
that, it saves your recorded snippet for
a later search if the connection is not
strong enough for it to search through
the database.
