Surrounded by lush virgin jungle and its
friendly inhabitants are two exclusive
villas of unique tropical-rustic and mod-
ern architecture, while nine more are
underway to being developed. Built with
arduous love and meticulous attention to
its natural surroundings by Felix Tee and
designed by renowned Balinese architect
AA Yoka Sara, Casabrina, located at Raub,
Pahang, promises the eco-conscious
traveler an unforgettable experience of
luxury and indulgence steeped in nature.
As they were expecting me, getting
through security at the main entrance
was a breeze. From the entrance, you
drive up a small and narrow road leading
to the villas which some may find a bit
hair raising. That aside, the view as you
get higher is simply breathtaking. Having
parked the car, I was met by a member
of the villa’s staff and driven to my
accommodation in a buggy.
As the main reception area was still
in the process of being built, the hall at
Villa Amertani acted as the lobby. Most
of the wooden furniture in Villa Amertani
is hand made by the staff. As soon as I
finished my welcome drink, I went down
the staircase which led to my villa. I was
blown away by the size of the four suite
villa which was romantically lit and
boasted of an exquisite interior.
