ally, making the country proud. Datuk
Jimmy Choo was just shoe-maker from
Penang who was brave enough to take
the plunge by taking his business and
expertise to the United Kingdom. His
blood, sweat and tears paid off when his
beautiful hand-crafted shoes wereworn by
the late Princess Diana.
Almost overnight,
Choo become the
shoe designer
of choice for
entertainment’s
hottest stars like
Sarah Jessica
Parker, Jennifer
Lopez, Beyonce
and Gwyneth
Paltrow.
After many years spent abroad building
his empire, Datuk Jimmy Choo is now
back in Malaysia to share all his experi-
ence, working closely with upcoming
design talent as well as getting his own
star at
Star Development’s Walk of Fame

Howdid thecollaborationwithStarDevel-
opment come about?
The COO of Star Development, Alan Koh
was looking for the right person to become
an ambassador. I happened to drop by the
sales office one day to view the property
model and as we began to talk, he realised
that we had the right chemistry. They
extended an invitation, to which I
agreed.
Could you share with us a little bit
about Star Residences andwhat it
is all about?
Star Development will feature
retail
(Star Boulevard)
and resi-
dences
(Star Residences)
touted to
be the tallest in the city centre once
completed in 2019. Additionally, it
will feature Malaysia’s first and only
StarWalk of Fame
, a 200metre long
stretch featuring both local
and international celebrities.
The
Walk of Fame
is set to
become Malaysia’s newest
and, probably, most stylish
tourist destination.
