Yin broke into themu-
sic industry after his group,
Elecoldxhot or ECX, was
crowned the 2011 winner
of the reality dance battle
crew show on 8TV called
Showdown
. Some might
even remember him from when he created
a buzz during Malaysia’s So You Think You
Can Dance.
He not only dances to hip hop but has
gotten into choreographing and has dabbled
in acting as well. Yin has loved dancing ever
since he was a kid, grooving to the sounds of
Backstreet Boys, NSync and the late Michael
Jackson. He really got into dancing, however,
after watching Justin Timberlake’s
Like I Love
You
music video. “The late Michael Jackson
was definitely one of my biggest inspirations
and I got motivated by all his music videos.
Watching his videos was the easiest way for
me to imitate his dance moves.”
