Musical of the same name and the fourth
film adaptation following Columbia’s
1892 theatrical film, Annie is a new,
contemporary take on the story of little
orphan Annie. Whilst the originals were
set during the Great Depression, this
version is set in the streets of New York
in 2014, and tells the story of Annie, a
young, happy and brilliant, but tough
foster kid who might just foil an attempt
by the richest guy in the block to adopt
her for his political needs.

a team of ambitious medical students find
a way to bring the dead back to life using
a serum codenamed “Lazarus”. After suc-
cessful animal testing, Zoe (OliviaWilde),
one of the lead researchers, accidentally
dies in a lab experiment. Desperate, the
team uses Lazarus to bring her back
to life. However, she starts displaying
unusual abilities and the team begins to
realise that in its attempt to resurrect the
dead, it may have opened the door to
unfathomable evil.
