The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

The Battle of the Five Armies is the epic conclusion to Peter
Jackson’s trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular
masterpiece The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien. The film concludes
the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins, who joins the
WizardGandalf and thirteenDwarves, led by ThorinOakenshield,
on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.
Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug,
the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the
world. Enraged, Smaug rains his fiery wrath down upon the
defenceless men, women and children of Lake-town.
Obsessed above all else with his reclaimed treasure, Thorin
sacrifices friendship and honour to hoard it as Bilbo’s frantic
attempts to make him see reason drive the Hobbit towards a
desperate and dangerous choice. But there are even greater
dangers ahead. Unseen by any but theWizard Gandalf, the great
enemy Sauron has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack
upon the Lonely Mountain.

This is the sequel to the 2009 film Night at the Museum: Battle
of the Smithsonian. It will be Mickey Rooney’s final film and one
of Robin Williams’ final films, as both of them died before the
film was released. The new adventure begins at the opening of
the new Planetarium in New York, when our museum heroes
lose control of their minds and bodies as the tablet that brings
them to life slowly begins to deteriorate.
Only Ahkmenra’s father knows the secret to restoring the
tablet and, as fate would have it, he’s displayed in London. The
action moves to the famed British Museum of Natural History
where, with a little help from some “new” friends, they must risk
everything to discover the secret to the magic tablet and repair
it before Larry (Ben Stiller) loses his museum friends forever.
