Free Birds
Looking for a softhearted yet brilliant
animated comedy to make you laugh?
Jimmy Hayward – animator of such
classics as Finding Nemo, Monsters
Inc., Toy Story 1 & 2 – now in the role
of a director brings you Free Birds – in
Malaysian cinemas from Nov 14. Stars
include: Woody Harrelson (Jake), Owen
Wilson (Reggie), Amy Poehler (Jenny),
Keith David (Chief Broadbeak), Colm
Meaney (Myles Standish), Dan Fogler
(Governor Bradford).
Plot
Two turkeys from opposite sides of the
tracks (Woody Harrelson and Owen
Wilson) discover a time machine in a
secret government lab. They put aside their
differences and team up to accomplish
an extremely important goal – travel back
in time to change the course of history
by getting turkey off the holiday menu
forever!

intense action-adventure-sci-fi flick that

in Malaysia on the Nov 24. Stars include:

Plot
Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence)
and fellow tribute Peeta Mellark (Josh
Hutcherson) become targets of the Capitol
after their victory in the 74th Hunger
Games; a.k.a. “The Quarter Quell”. Their
win sparks a rebellion in the Districts of
Panem. Interesting fact: Certain scenes
of the Capitol were filmed at the Atlanta
Marriott Marquis hotel – one of the hotels
where the annual pop culture/ sci-fi
convention, DragonCon is held.

filmmaker who brought us the memorable
Malcolm X, Inside Man and Jungle Fever,
now brings you an action-drama-mystery
of a classic story; Old Boy. The movie
opens in Malaysia on Nov 28. Stars

Plot
An advertising executive is kidnapped
and held hostage for 20 years in solitary
confinement. When he is unexplainably
released, he undertakes a mission fraught
with many dangers to discover those
responsible for his incarceration, only to
find himself still trapped in a web of a
shady conspiracy.
